flexplates don't exist with SFI certification. Car can't be legal to NHRA rules.

Bolt pattern for Corvair smaller diameter than small block chevy. Unless you do major crank end rework, it can't be done with a legal SFI flexplate. Rework a flexplate and it's not legal. How do I know? I own a Corvair carb dragster. Crank dampners also are an issue with SFI.

That's an awesome looking engine! Thanks for sharing it.
P.S. Did you read the Piers Anthony books or just pick up the name somewhere?

Wouldn't it be fairly simple, albeit probably a bit expensive, to have those items made and certified?
I ask because I checked on getting a "custom" SFI harmonic balancer built for a SBF some time back and it was only going to run me in the neighborhood of $400-$600 at the time from Innovators West.
